The scale resolution is 5um/.0002" or 10um / 0.0005"

The C80 is everything you could ask for in a DRO and includes a full complement of productivity enhancing features. All Newall linear encoders carry an IP67 environmental rating and continually provide accurate, reliable readings even when fully submersed in water, oil or coolant. No other absolute, incremental or digital linear encoder matches the durability and reliability of Newall's Spherosynฎ and Microsynฎ linear encoder and scales.

How They Work

Using the principle of induction, an electromagnetic field is generated within the reader head (linear encoder), interacting with ball bearings inside the scale. During axial movement along the scale, variations in the induced field are detected, processed and converted to an industry standard differential quadrature by a Digital Signal Processor (DSP).

We do not carry any of the following Newall models: A50, C70, DP7, DP8, DPG200, SA100, Topaz and Sapphire.
